Episode Highlights
[04:59] The Reality of Life
People in the wellness industry often think life should be idyllic and resting should be a priority.
People are busy and may struggle to have time for themselves and self-care.
[06:46] Time and Energy Management
Time management is vital for anyone. It’s crucial for self-starters and entrepreneurs.
We all have the same amount of hours in a day. What’s different is how we choose to use energy every day. It is why we need to be mindful of our schedules and breaks.
Reflect on what activities give you energy and what sucks it out.
It doesn’t mean avoiding tasks since there are things we don’t like but need to get done.
[07:59] “Time is our most precious commodity. You have to know how to manage your time well or you will go insane, you won't last long as an entrepreneur.” - Click Here to Tweet This
[10:25] Things Work Differently for Everyone
Rosie shares that administrative tasks often feel mundane to others, but she finds them meditative.
She is detail-oriented and observed that her stress levels are balanced. Administrative tasks can help her get into a flow state.
If things are out of order, it could take her an hour to write a single email. It helps her become aware of what needs to be balanced so she can get back into a state of flow.
Everyone functions differently. You need to define for yourself what gives or takes away your energy.
It’s okay to make mistakes. Take the time to learn what’s sustainable for you. Incorporate mindfulness to help you stay intentional with your energy management.
[11:45] “Part of the beauty of getting to know oneself and when [our] work flow is most efficient…is to give ourselves the opportunity to make mistakes, to be able to learn what works for you, what doesn't” - Click Here to Tweet This
[12:29] Introducing the Radically Loved Team
The Radically Loved Team is still small.
It includes Rosie, Tessa, Kathy, the website, show notes, and workbooks handler, Casey and Janine, who handle the newsletters, and Risto, the show producer.
They also have two additional members, Charlotte and Christie, whenever they hold special events like the Radically Loved Summit.
[14:23] Attracting the Right People
Having the right people in your business means everyone’s strengths are highlighted, and they support each other.
While Rosie doesn’t have particular advice on curating the right people, she recommends going through people and learning your preferences.
You want to look for reliable people whose vision aligns with yours and spend their time for themselves efficiently or creatively.
She shares that she wants to find people who are better than her and inspire her to work smarter.

[17:58] “but I'm saying [is] look for things that are a little bit more underneath the superficial layer like what are their values? What do they want to do? How can you work together? What is the relationship like? Are your values aligned?” - Click Here to Tweet This
[20:39] How the Radically Loved Team Changed
When Rosie first started Radically Loved, it was a small passion project. Back in the day, Tori used to help Rosie.
When the project grew and required more attention, Tori quit because he needed to focus on his full-time job.
Rosie shares that their personalities are not symbiotic for work. Letting him off the Radically Loved Team and hiring full-time staff helped save their relationship.
[25:12] Tessa’s Experience
Tessa shares having a fear of making mistakes to the point where it stops opportunities to work with people.
Remember, we’re all human, and we make mistakes.
What’s important is how we own up to mistakes and learn from them.
[29:28] When you make a mistake, how [do] each party respond — how do you show up and own it, what do you learn from it? So I think all those things are important when looking at how to have human moments with co-workers.” - Click Here to Tweet This
[30:55] The One Thing to Look For
In addition to her previous recommendations, Rosie suggests looking for people who know how to handle a bad situation.
It’s better to be more solution-focused than problem-focused. Being problem-focused means focusing on the issue and why things went wrong.
Even if things go wrong, stay calm and treat people with respect.
